Diagnostic Test #2: Realtime Output (Text Editor)
Step 1: With your CAT program open and configured according to our instructions, launch a realtime translation.
Step 2: Open a simple text editor such as Notepad or Wordpad. For Notepad, click Start>Run, type notepad, and click OK.
Step 3: Place your cursor in the word processing file and key in a paragraph or two with your writer. You should get one of three results:

No text appears in word processing file (CAT setup issue or user error)

Make sure the word processor has focus with the cursor in the file

Check your
CAT configuration against our instructions again. Make sure your CAT file is open and ready to translate.

Verify that your writer is turned on and properly connected. For DigitalCAT™, wait up to 30 seconds for the text to begin feeding.

If you still can't get text to appear, work with your CAT software support until the text appears correctly in the text editor

For Case CATalyst™, be sure to completely turn off EZ-Keys.

If you still don't see properly translated text, work with your CAT software support until the text appears correctly in the word processor.
